I never know what to say in the first post of a new journal.  Maybe I should be telling the world all about me... but I already did that in the last one, and nobody else is going to read this but the people who actually give a flying f*ck about me... so there we are.
That's that theory down the toilet.

Next up, I could tell you about what the journal is for.  Again, I think it's pretty self-explanatory. It's for me to rant on and on about things that don't matter to anyone but my neuroses and to get things off my chest that would otherwise just annoy me greatly.

There is, actually, another purpose to this blog.  It's to keep all my friends down South updated with my progress in the chilly, ol' Aberdeen! Well, it will be as soon as I get there.

From what I can gather, our keys for halls become available on the 20th and so... on my own... in the morning... I shall fly to Aberdeen... on the first time I will have flown alone... and then... still alone... I will find my way across Aberdeen to where I shall be staying... and then I shall go meet people.

Yes, I am very frightened.  Who wouldn't be? I'm shitting my underwear to be honest with you all, it's scaring me witless. There's still so much I haven't sorted out, and I know that there will be things that I'll be missing.

In the meantime, I'm working 70 hours a week at the joy that is McDonalds as a Crew Trainer to try and raise some funds.  You guys; my friends; are the only people keeping me sane, with your random text messages that make me laugh when I've just had the stupidest customer in the history of ever, with your alcohol and most importantly, with your hugs.

I love you guys, each and every one of you... but I really should go to bed now, I have to work 4-midnight tomorrow and I don't get a day off this week.  Sleep is going to have to be a priority.
